Honoring Rusty Fuller’s 43-Year Legacy
At Berger Allied Moving & Storage, we believe in recognizing the people who help shape our success. Today, we honor an incredible milestone: the retirement of Rusty Fuller, who has been with Berger since July 28, 1982.
Over the past 43 years, Rusty has contributed significantly to our Dallas operation, serving as a leader, mentor, and consistent example of professionalism in our industry. His commitment to high standards and operational excellence has left a lasting mark on our team and our customers.
To help mark this occasion, Rusty’s longtime colleague Aric shared some personal reflections:
“After 43 years of unwavering dedication, Rusty Fuller is hanging up his desk phone, lot check clipboard, and—let’s be honest—his legendary opinions.
Rusty began his journey with Berger in July, 1982. That’s not just a long time—it’s a legacy. Over four decades, Rusty has become more than a colleague. He’s been a mentor, a leader, and, in many ways, the face of our Dallas operation.
When I interviewed with John and Brad, both said the same thing: “You’ve got to meet Rusty. He’s one of a kind.” And they weren’t kidding. In fact, I wasn’t even allowed to accept the job until I had lunch with Rusty. That lunch wasn’t just a formality—it was a rite of passage. Because if you were going to be part of this team, you had to understand what Rusty stood for: integrity, precision, and a deep, almost sacred respect for the standards that keep this industry moving.
Rusty had a way of letting you know—very clearly—when you were on the right track. But if you veered off course, if you strayed from the standards, well… let’s just say you’d hear about it. And not just once. Rusty had a gift for making sure his message landed—firmly, and in more ways than one.
But that’s what made him so special. Rusty didn’t just work in this industry—he lived it. He believed in doing things the right way, every time. And he held all of us to that same high bar. Because he cared about the customer and the company. What a legacy to leave behind.“
