If you experienced loss or damage during your recent move with Berger, our Claims Center is available to help you through the claims process.

File a Moving Claim

For the fastest and most convenient way to submit a claim, please use our Online Claim Form.

After your claim is received, you will be assigned a claim number and a claims adjuster. Your adjuster will review the information you submitted and contact you if additional documentation, an inspection, or other information is needed.

Before You File Your Claim

Please keep all damaged items, packing materials, cartons, and shipping containers until your claim has been reviewed. Do not repair, replace, or dispose of damaged items before the claims process is complete, as they may need to be inspected.

When preparing your claim, please have the following documents available:

Your Household Goods Carrier’s Bill of Lading and Freight Bill
Your Household Goods Descriptive Inventory
Information and documentation related to the items that were lost or damaged

Arrangements may be made to inspect damaged items and obtain estimates as part of the claim review process.

Claim Filing Deadlines

Before submitting a claim for loss or damage, please review the terms and conditions on your Household Goods Carrier’s Bill of Lading and Freight Bill, including any applicable time limits for filing a claim.

If your shipment moved under contract rates with the carrier, your filing deadline may differ from the time limitation stated on the Bill of Lading and Freight Bill. To verify the filing deadline that applies to your shipment, please call (877) 268-2101 and press 0.
